Every year from the end of August till the beginning of September Moscow International Festival “Handcraft Fair” takes place in the Kremlin in Izmailovo. The event gathers the best craftsmen from Moscow, Russia, and from abroad.
The number of participants of the Festival is growing each year. Guests of the Festival enjoy entertainment programs presented by skomorokhs, folk and pop stars, interesting contests with valuable prizes, and various handcraft master-classes.
In the year of 2007, within the framework of Year of China in Russia, a delegation of Chinese craftsmen took part in the “Handcraft Fair”. The best craftsmen from China held master-classes for guests of the Festival, showing their brilliant mastery of traditional handcrafts of carving stone stamps, painting crystal bottles from inside, and many others.
The Handcraft Fair is a colorful holiday during which you not only can see how the craftsmen produce their masterpieces, but also can take part in the creation of a piece of art!
